About Packaging Design
Networkpak manufactures and finishes a broad range of folding carton and paperboard packaging, from simple straight-line cartons through to complex auto-locking, formed and multi-point constructions.
Whether your product is packed by hand, packed at high speed on an automated line, frozen, chilled or displayed on shelf, we can develop a carton construction to suit the product, packing process and end-use requirements.

Straight Line Cartons
A versatile and cost-effective carton construction, straight line cartons are ideal for products that are manually or automatically packed. The carton is folded and glued in a continuous straight-line format, providing efficient production and reliable packing.
Typical applications include food, consumer products, pharmaceutical, personal care and general retail packaging.
Crash Lock Bottom Cartons
Crash lock bottom cartons are designed for fast packing and quick assembly. The pre-glued base automatically locks into position when the carton is erected, eliminating the need for manual bottom assembly.
They are particularly suited to products requiring efficient hand packing or high-speed automated packing, including food, takeaway, bakery and consumer goods.
4-Corner Cartons
Four-corner constructions provide additional rigidity and a premium appearance while maintaining efficient production and packing.
They are commonly used where presentation, product protection and structural strength are important, including premium food, retail and consumer packaging.
6-Corner Cartons
Six-corner cartons offer additional structural support and complex folding configurations for products requiring a more engineered packaging solution.
These constructions can provide enhanced rigidity, product protection and shelf presentation and can be developed for both manual and automated packing applications.
Formed Trays
Formed paperboard trays provide an alternative to traditional folding cartons, creating an open-top or partially enclosed structure around the product.
Trays can be designed for manual packing, automated filling, retail presentation and food applications. Depending on the construction and board selected, they can also be engineered for chilled or frozen environments.
3D Formed Cartons & Trays
For products requiring a more distinctive shape, Networkpak can produce three-dimensional formed paperboard packaging.
3D formed constructions can incorporate shaped corners, raised sections, formed bases and other features that create a more rigid and visually distinctive pack.
These formats are suited to products where packaging presentation and structural performance are equally important.

Packaging for Hand or Automated Packing
The right carton construction depends heavily on how the product is packed.
Hand Packed
For manual packing operations, we can produce cartons that are designed for easy opening, erection and product insertion. This can include glued cartons, crash lock bases, formed trays and specialised constructions.
Auto Packed
Cartons intended for automated packing require greater attention to dimensional accuracy, board characteristics, glue patterns, opening behaviour and machine compatibility.
Networkpak can work with your existing packing process to develop cartons suitable for high-speed automated filling and erection equipment.
Freezer & Chilled Packaging
For products exposed to low temperatures, moisture or condensation, carton construction and material selection become critical.
Networkpak can manufacture packaging using board grades and finishes selected for chilled and frozen applications, helping maintain carton strength and presentation throughout the supply chain.
Freezer-grade cartons can be developed for applications including frozen foods, meat, seafood, prepared meals, vegetables and other temperature-sensitive products.

From Concept to Finished Carton
Networkpak can support the complete carton development process, from initial structural design and prototyping through to printing, die cutting, folding, gluing and finishing.
Our capabilities allow us to manufacture packaging for a wide range of industries and applications, with the flexibility to produce everything from straightforward folding cartons through to complex, highly engineered paperboard packaging.

CAD Design & In-House Prepress
Networkpak provides comprehensive in-house CAD design and pre-press capabilities, allowing packaging concepts to move efficiently from initial design through to production.
Using advance 3d CAD modeling, our experienced team develops structural packaging designs, dielines, prototypes and production-ready artwork across a wide range of carton and packaging formats. Designs can be engineered for both functionality and manufacturability, helping ensure the finished pack performs as intended while optimising material usage and production efficiency.
Our in house sampling equipment provides rapid prototyping and sampling capabilities, allowing us to produce accurate physical samples and test structural designs before production. This enables customers to review the finished shape, fit and functionality of their packaging without the need for costly production tooling or lengthy lead times.
With CAD design, prepress, prototyping and production all supported in-house, Networkpak can provide a streamlined packaging development process — from concept and structural design through to an approved production-ready pack.
